I know this sounds like a plug and one shouldn't brag about his own work, but I'd like to say a couple of words about the new package called "frontier" that I put together for performing stochastic frontier analysis and is now available on the gretl server. This package gives you, in practice, the combination of the two old packages "sfa_mod" and "sfa_eff" by Gordon Hughes, with a few slight improvements that were made possible by the greater power of the hansl language we have achieved over the past few years. I'd like to thank Gordon for his work and ask everybody who has an interest in this class of models to test the new package and tell me about the bugs that it contains, so I can hopefully fix it.
