Maybe I should have said a bit more. I wrote a manual on how to compile
gretl on Ubuntu on your own (see URL below).
However, if you want to use the official gretl version supported by your
specific Ubuntu, you actually should only need to execute:
sudo apt install gretl
in a terminal. That should be enough. Problem: Not sure which gretl
version you get in that case.
