I have built a new OS X disk image that includes a proper OS X "bundle", Gretl.app. I'm hoping this will solve the problems that many people have had with running the program directly from the GUI. (But please note, this does not remove the requirement that you have Apple's X11 installed -- that is still de rigeur, though we may be able to avoid that requirement eventually, as the Quartz port of GTK progresses.)
