Hi,
How many fonts does the average GRETL user see in his list?
I think that the reason for only 3 fonts in my list for GRETL appearance and
scripting lies in
'fonts.conf' since it configures system font access. There is no
'local.conf'
to make local changes. What should such a file look like?
I already installed new fonts which then were available in e.g. Excel, hence
it's a GRETL specific issue.
Again, it's not a gretl thing. It's an OS issue. In a previous message,
you said you use windows; if you ask me, this is a sin which entails its
own punishment, but I digress. I'm no GUI expert, but Allin explained it
to you already in a previous message: Gretl simply asks the OS "what fonts
do you have for me?" and receives an answer. The reason why Excel asks the
same question and receives a different answer is beyond me, but certainly
has nothing to do with gretl. You'll have to ask some windows guru.
