Are there any OS X users on the list? If so, I'd be grateful if
someone could test the new .dmg for gretl 1.2.7 on Panther. I have
tested it on v10.2.4 only.

I am running Panther and downloaded the dmg. There seems to be some
minor problem with text. I am sending as attachment a snapshot of the

Yikes! Thank you. I think this must be a pango issue: probably pango
is unable to load its font module(s) due to changes in the X libraries
between Jaguar and Panther. I suppose this means the dmg is no use
for Panther. I'll have to think about what to do.

Version 1.2.7 on startup gives this grelw32.exe error
entry point not found
the procedure entry point libintl_sprintf could not be located in the
dynamic link library intl.dll.

Thanks for the report. What version of Windows is this on? Are you
sure that it's a "clean" installation with no old dlls lying around
(intl.dll in particular)?
Has anyone else seen this problem?

Gretl-users:
No, the installation was not clean. In the past I just (sloppily)
installed new versions over old versions. I did that again with 1.2.7.
I have uninstalled the previous version, then installed 1.2.7
and installation worked fine.

Dear all,
I just installed Office 2004 on my Mac and noticed that tons of new
fonts were added. So I decided to launch Gretl. And now, all went
well! bottom line: If you are running Panther and if you experience
non-readable characters in menus you probably have not installed the
right fonts, or the right fonts might be installed in the wrong place.
