Hi, at this point you'd need to provide more information, since this
error message does not come from the retobit package, at least not
directly.
What gretl version are you using? What's the version of the installed
retobit package? How are you specifying your model, be as precise as
possible. If possible, share the dataset. And so on. If you've written a
script, please also share your code.

New subject: query regarding random effect tobit regression
Sir, I am using gretl-2018a with retobit 0.9 version. I have data of 30
academic institutions for ten years. In model specification, I am using
efficiency scores of academic institutions evaluated through DEA as
dependent variable and in regressors, I am using four different ratios i.e.
female ratio, ratio of professors to total teachers, student/ teacher ratio
and teaching staff/total teaching staff. In left bound , 0 is specified.
Quadrature points were 12 used and in verbosity, print estimates was
chosen. I have also tried to apply retobit on a hypothetical data sheet.
Again "Invalid option '--opg' appeared.

If I understand correctly, you have 300 data points. If you send me your
dataset (even privately, if you prefer), I can have a look.

OK, mystery solved: As the changelog shows
(http://gretl.sourceforge.net/ChangeLog.html), gretl added the --opg
option to the tobit (and intreg) commands only in version 2019b. Sou you
need to upgrade gretl and hopefully then it should work.
@Jack: Accordingly the retobit package needs to require at least 2019b
please.

Hmm, retobit 0.9 dates from August 2020, but when gretl-2018a was
released there was no "--opg" option for the tobit command. This
problem should be resolved if you update to current gretl.

Thanku sir, I have installed latest version of gretl. Now retobit works.
I have one more doubt regarding this. Is there any option of assumptions
checking (heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity etc.) in gretl for panel
tobit regression as available for simple panel fixed or random effects
model.

Not at the moment, no. If you have a reference to an existing test that
has been used for this purpose, please pass us the literature pointer and
we'll see what we can do.
