Thanks I think the server at Wake Forest may have been unavailable for a couple of days around January 3-5. Other than that, what version/date of gretl are you using? You'll need either the 1.7.9 release or the current snapshot to access the databases, due to a change in the set-up of the server since gretl 1.7.8.
