I had a look in my .gretlrc.
It contained a line gnuplot=gnuplot.sh .
I commented that line and now gnuplot from within Gretl works.
Thanks, Berend, that's good to hear.
But on the error message you saw at first -- "Gnuplot is broken or
too old" -- it seems we could do better. At least the message should
be more informative. Beyond that, in the macOS package we know what
the default gnuplot path is, so if what's in ~/.gretl2rc doesn't
work, for whatever reason, we should try replacing it with the
default. I'll work on that when I get a chance.
