Apologies to any Mac users who have tried and failed to install gretl snapshots lately. We have just realized that the certificate we use to sign gretl packages for Mac expired earlier this month. However, that's now fixed and the snapshots should be OK from today onward. Allin Cottrell

The problem you had was due to decimal comma being used by gretl when writing (for example) the values of estimated coefficients in a session model. That was a bug, it wasn't supposed to happen. Now, with the latest gretl snapshots, that should be fixed. Specifically, * session files written by gretl should not contain any problematic numerical values, and in addition * "new" gretl should be able to read successfully older session files that were written using the decimal comma. That was never resolved because of missing follow-up inputs. Maybe we can hunt it with more success now. cheers sven

I guess at least one is a plot; are there any model icons? Also it may be helpful to know, what sort of plot or model? Two other things that could be even more helpful: (1) the commands that went into the session you saved -- they can be found under /Tools/Command log. (2) a copy of the session file that didn't open properly the first time. Allin

Dear colleagues, I'm experiencing a problem with gretl. When I save a session with icons and then try to reopen it, the icons are missing and I see the message “1 session object(s) could not be rebuilt”. If I open the same session file a second time, the icons appear and everything loads correctly. How can I resolve this so that the .gretl session opens correctly with the icons on the first attempt? Environment (for context): - gretl version: [2025a] - OS: [Windows 10] - Where the .gretl file is stored: [local disk or OneDrive] Steps to reproduce: 1) Save a session with icons. 2) Close gretl. 3) Reopen the .gretl session: icons are missing and the message appears. 4) Open the same session again: icons appear. VECM long-run impact matrix

Hi all, I would like to retrieve the long-run impact matrix, called "C" in Johansen's jargon. After estimating a vecm, there is item "C". Is this object the matrix I am looking for (I could not find anything in the docs)? Furthermore, in a recent paper by Juselius, she reports standard errors for C. Is this information also stored in the system bundle?
