Sending Gretl data to R - Date issue

Hi,
I am trying to send the gretl data to R using the following script. Although there is a date variable in the csv, gretl is ignoring it but index is showing date. This is a problem when I send the gretl data to R, I could not create a tsibble object with index (date).
If the data is time series, if gretl exports the data to R like a tsibble object, it is really great. Otherwise, we have to convert the date to datetime object manually.
