This means gretl can't map between the mouse coordinates on screen and
the data coordinates for the graph, because it has been unable to get
the necessary information from the gnuplot graph (e.g. where do the X
and Y axes start and end, in data space?).
This could be due to a number of things, related to the gnuplot
version and/or the language setting (the issue of the decimal
separator -- though I thought I had that fixed!).
I'm having difficulty replicating the problem here. If you have time,
could you give me some more details (gnuplot version, and details of
the graph would be useful: you said it was a residual plot, but it
might be helpful to know from what regression). Thanks.
Allin.
Allin,
excuse me for the lag in the response. I have been on vacancies in august.
The first problem seems to be solved (??? I did not do anything), now I can
put labels on the residual graphs if I put manually the coordinates.
Clicking on the little mouse does not work in this residual graph, but works
correctly if I ask for an original series graph.
I am using Gnuplot 4.0.0 (installed from a Mandrake rpm). The data I am using
is data3-6.gdt, and I am running OLS with Ct as dependent variable and Yt as
dependent. The graph I am trying to add a label is "residual graphic vs
time".
