I'd be interested to hear if anyone using current git or snapshot is
still able to provoke the problem that has been reported (that is, you
add a function to your package, using the "Add/Remove functions" dialog
without any apparent error, yet it turns out that the new function is
not really added).

I just tried current git, and it works fine as intended. So I can't
provoke the issue any more. I tried it different ways (1st loading the
new fcnt. into memory before opening the main package, and vice versa).
