What's changed in the new build?

 * The graphical interface now uses version 3 of GTK (as opposed to
GTK2). The main reason for this change is that gretl should look
better on small high-resolution displays (as on laptops) when
App-scaling is in force in Windows.
One nice side effect detail I've noticed is that in the script editor
the auto-suggestions now seem to work better on Windows. I'm attaching a
screenshot to explain what I mean; after having typed the characters
"SVAR_", gretl shows me all the existing words with that beginning in a
numbered drop-down list. Previously (up to gretl 2024b) one could only
use the cursor keys or the mouse to select an entry there. Now you can
also type Alt+number to have the corresponding word from the list
directly inserted. I'm relatively sure that this didn't work before with
the GTK2-based version.
(What you also see is that the list heading is "words" in English, while
I'm running gretl in German...)
thanks
