I have just built an Ubuntu (Dapper) binary deb-package with
checkinstall, because the official gretl version there is 1.5.0. If
people are interested to try it, I could put it on the web. I should
warn you, however, that I am new to Ubuntu as well as checkinstall, so I
might have messed up various things with the package -- only tests will
tell. This is a plain build without any fancy ./configure options, on a
pentium m (x86).
