Hi there,
In terms of short cuts I'm in gretl only using 'Alt + w' in order to work with
the (many) windows.
One question: if one does not use the 'quartz' version but wants to change to it,
is it necessary to uninstall other software too like X?
I'm in favor of a 32/64 bit download option for windows.

I hear you -- and I'm not proposing to do away with the X11 version
at this point -- but my guess is that most Mac users are not in the
habit of using the keyboard to navigate menus. I'm by no means
authoritative on that, however. Any other opinions, people?
