Not that I know of.
Which version of Mac OS X are the students using?
Have they installed the GTK_ framwork from Gretl's site?
As mentioned in Step 2 on the Gretl mac OS X page.

The newest version refers to Gretl?
I've heard of other people having trouble with gretl on
current OS X lately. So far as I can tell this is mostly due
to not reading the installation instructions, but the
instructions may be unnecessarily confusing due to the
Intel/PPC business. To try to head off confusion I've now
split the "gretl on OS X" page, with a sub-page for each
architecture. Comments welcome.
While on this subject -- any ideas on how long we need to
maintain PPC Mac support? Is it already redundant?
