I'm hoping one or more of you Mac-users out there can give me a
quick step-by-step guide to installing the textbook data sets on a
Mac. A couple of my students have asked about it, and since I
haven't used a Mac since about 1986, I'm not much help.
It's not really Mac-specific:
* Start gretl, and click the right-most button on the toolbar at the
foot of the main window to bring up the "data files" window.
* In the "data files" window, click the "Look on server" button to
bring up the "data packages on server" window.
* In the latter window select a data-file package to install and click
the "Install" button.
