I am sorry to waste your time. I used to be a subscriber of GRETL
maillist (many years ago). I have used GRETL for some 15-20 years.
I think there is something wrong with the ARCH linux-packaging (AUR). I
could get yahoo_get-add-on working. I could go to about-gretl and
update the addons. Some addons seemed out-of-date. Everything seemed to
work except for the logging-add-on (error reading package).
I have run an active propaganda for GRETL for many years.

Helgi, can you tell us what platform this is on? That would help us
try to ensure this sort of problem doesn't arise in future. As Jack
says, it appears that gretl is loading a previous version of extra
rather than the one installed by gretl 2022b.
