Yes, they were last produced in August 2006.
and there may be some still in use. Only the latest two Mac
OS versions do not run on PPC. If you compare this to
Windows, the three latest versions are supported (XP, Vista,
7), and the required hardware (sse2 support) is up to ten
years old.
But of course, as long as nobody besides Allin is
maintaining the PPC build, this discussion is kind of moot.
The PPC build of gretl is automated and it's not a problem to
keep churning out updated dmg's. The only problem is potential
confusion among Mac users as to what they should download, but
hopefully the recent website changes should help.
Note to website translators: there are a couple of new
page-templates in CVS, namely mac-intel_pat.html and
mac-ppc_pat.html.
