Thanks, thse are useful. It seems Apple has a quite slick means
of cross-compiling for their various architectures.
Unfortunately, I don't think I can make use of this at present.
The trouble is that gretl depends on a bunch of third-party
libraries (notably GTK) that I only have in PPC format. Maybe at
some point...
In the meantime, I've built a new disk image that has, I think,
eliminated the odd-looking dependency that you noted earlier.
It's at:
http://ricardo.ecn.wfu.edu/pub/gretl/gretl-1.6.1a.dmg
It's still PPC-only, and so will require Rosetta on an Intel Mac,
but hopefully it may work for you.
