Allin & Jack--
For 'Are you suggesting that something should be done or just that the error
message ('Unspecified error') should be more informative?'
The latter-- I am suggesting something more informative. Maybe if 0 rows
of data read, then the error message could be 'No data found, after offsets
(x,y)'

Allin-- all is well with one GRETL install. The sheet and offset

My minor complaints are
-- might be easier to remember offsets if they are --rowoffset and
--coloffset
I agree.
-- if you offset into a blank area you get 'Unspecified
error'
Are you suggesting that something should be done or just that the error
message should be more informative?
-- some might want to use sheet names, not knowing the OLE order.
Yes, this would be very neat.
-- if 2 or more open/imports are run in a series, the command log
seems to
reset (empty) after each one. There are cases where keeping the command
log
going to see all imports and 'run "file.inp" '
steps would be better for
debugging and documentation.
Also, the same syntax should be applied to the "append" command.
Otherwise, behaves perfectly.
I can confirm this (on linux). Well done, Allin!
