Yes, that makes sense, and that's what gretl uses for per-user
settings.
The question, though, is what we should use as the default
location for user files (e.g. saved data files, scripts, sessions
and so on)? I'm now inclined to think under "My Documents" may be
better than the current default, but I don't have time to test
that change so I'm not going to make it just now.
