Can anyone help?
I have downloaded and opened friends (to some? location).
I have downloaded and created a dmg file but when I double click - nothing
very much happens.
Any suggestions how I can get this going?

You'll need two files to install Gretl on your Mac:
File 1:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gretl/files/osx/GTK2-framework.pkg/
File 2:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gretl/files/snapshots/gretl-intel.dmg.gz/
