I tend to agree, but I'm not sure what's the relevant criterion here.
The last PPC models (PowerMac G5 AFAIK) are maybe five years old and
there may be some still in use. Only the latest two Mac OS versions do
not run on PPC. If you compare this to Windows, the three latest
versions are supported (XP, Vista, 7), and the required hardware (sse2
support) is up to ten years old.
But of course, as long as nobody besides Allin is maintaining the PPC
build, this discussion is kind of moot.
