Yes, fixing a crash is always a high priority. This should be OK now
in git and snapshots.
I'm afraid that GUI matrix-transformation code had not been reviewed
in a long time, and it had drifted out of sync with the underlying
matrix code. Fortunately the fix was just a one-liner.
