Moreover, I reckon that running a linux distro in a VM on a tablet
should be *horribly* slow and inefficient, not to mention potential
crashes. To be explicit, far worse than what you'd get on a 100€
laptop with Windows 10 on (just to reiterate).
Personally I'm also a fan of a full PC (laptop), so it's a good piece of
advice (apart from the Win10 part perhaps). But there are many people
and students around who come to classes with a tablet only. Especially
if you have to carry your equipment the whole day because you don't have
an office, I can understand why. (The costs of managing an additional
device is also non-negligible IMHO.)
About the slowness, I'm not so sure these days. It would be interesting
to hear some experiences, but probably not many people on this list have
tried it already I guess.
