I already worked in the past with gretl and it was working
perfectly. Suddenly, today when i tried to graph something the
 software told me:
“ Gnuplot is broken or too old: must be >= version 5.0 “
Just to be clear: this started happening without your updating to
a different gretl version?
I downloaded the new version of gnu plot for mac (which, by the way,
should already be included in the gretl package, as the guide
suggests) but I am not able to install it.
Yes, gnuplot is included in the gretl package. It won't help to
install gnuplot independently of gretl.
I tried to download other versions of both gretl and gnuplot but
 nothing changes.
Please tell us exactly what version of gretl you are running: you can
find that information under /Help/About gretl -- there are three
relevant lines under the logo. Also, please give details on your
operating system ("About This Mac").
