Hi gretlers, I've just compiled the "release candidate"
gretl 1.3.0 and
everything seems to work fine (thanks Allin!).
Now I'd like to benefit from syntax highlighting of gretl scripts (never
tried this before, I discovered the feature while translating the
manual), but I can't get it working (I'm using the GNOME desktop on a
Debian "unstable" system)....
Use gtksourceview for scripts: yes
My first guess is that the file gretl.lang, which tells
gtksourceview how to handle gretl scripts, is not being installed in
the right location for your system. On my system it goes in
/opt/gnome2/share/gtksourceview-1.0/language-specs/gretl.lang
You might try searching for, say, c.lang (a file that comes with the
gtksourceview distribution) and see where it's installed. If
gretl.lang is not in the same place, try copying it there. (If that
is the solution, I need to fix the mechanism for deciding where that
file should go.)
