Dear all,
this message is to inform the community about the activity in our
function package repository: during the month of May 2026, 1 new package
was added, that is
"TenTS", by G. Ferretti ( Functions to work with tensors)
The package is in fact a bit richer than its description suggests: not
only it provides several functions for dealing with tensors[*], but also
with _time series_ of tensors, so you get operations like
differentiation, plotting, and even estimation of tensor autoregressive
models.
All this is written in hansl, so it's not as fast as comparable packages
in R, but has the advantage of requiring no binary code.
Kudos to Giovanni for this nice addition.
As usual, download and enjoy!
[*] for non-specialists: a tensor is an object that generalises the
concept of a matrix to more than 2 dimensions (rows and columns for
matrices). For example, an order-3 tensor has rows, columns, and
"layers". You can have tensors with any number of indices.
