Allin,
That works fine (cvs build from 3/6/10 on my laptop), thanks as always! I'll pass this
on to my students & tell them to think like it's excel (ie, hitting enter replaces
cell contents).

A student of mine has come across what seems to be a bug in the
"edit values" option from the "data" menu. The problem is to set
the initial value of a saved residual vector (from an AR(1)
model) equal to 0. It seems like we should be able to set that
directly by using "edit values", but the "apply" button is
disabled and the change isn't saved once the "spreadsheet"
window is closed...
This may be platform-specific to some extent (GTK does not work
exactly the same on all platforms), but here's what I found on
Linux (Ubuntu 8.04):
* Open Ramanathan data9-7
* Via GUI, estimate Cochrane-Orcutt model with QNC as regressand,
PRICE, INCOME and PRIME as regressors.
* Via GUI, save residuals as uhat1.
* Select uhat1, and do /Data/Edit values.
* Type "0" for first residual and press Enter.
* The "Apply" check-mark lights up.
* Click Apply and close the date-editing window.
* Display values of uhat1, and the first zero is there.
Can you tell me what you see that differs from the above? Thanks.
