Well, basically the same as a user-build on Linux. Use the package
manager to install the dependencies, then compile gretl from source.
See https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/packages/solaris/sparc/ for one source
of relevant packages.
To my knowledge none of the gretl developers have access to a Solaris
system so we can't be much more specific.

Looks like a wrapper to call gretl from R if I am not totally wrong.

This is an R package which

with gretl own data files or
with R data.frame, ts, and mts
objects with partial passing
the results into R
The cran approval procedure
includes testing with established
OS's list including Solaris

Is it possible to import the dates of the series?

only for yearly, quarterly, and monthly
data; in other casese r data frame
contain a column called "obs"
which contains gretl data
specification it can be
converted into R data
specification using R means

it only on Ubuntu, Windows 10, 8, 7
I woulld be grateful if someone
could test it on OS X

If you use Rstudio,
enter 'packages', find Rgretl,
open 'help', open help
for a function, run the
sample script, you also
copypast "do not run", and run:
r-cran pretest requires all
samples to be run even
without gretl installed: in this
case the output is diagnostics
about "there are no valid gretl executable detected"
Also some examples can be copypasted
