I did it and I'm afraid you'are right. I tried both
"-d" and
"-debug" but nothing happened.
Moreover, with the "-debug" flag Gretl doesn't start at all.
Those flags (which don't actually do anything useful in this case
are -g (not -d) and --debug (two dashes, not -debug).
