Dear all,
I am working with Gretl 2017d in Linux and there are several packages I cannot install in
this version. Because of that, I want
to reinstall. However when I visited these webpages

https://packages.qa.debian.org/g/gretl.html
There is indicated that the recent versions are unstable. What does this imply? Which is
your reccomendation to install Gretl
and which version is best?
Installing 2019a from the debian repo is perfectly ok; in fact, the only
reason 2019b is not available in testing yet is because buster is in
freeze, but as far as we know there are no particular problems with that
version either, so you could get that from sid if you wanted to have the
latest and greatest.
Of course, you also have the option of building form source. If you need
assistance with that, feel free to ask for help.
