I would also love to have a way to group windows as suggested below. I use gretl as the
main software tool in a class on empirical finance and I find that the sheer amount of
windows is sometimes a hurdle for many students who are typically used to do all their
calculations in a spreadsheet.
Nevertheless, I think gretl is great to use in a classroom setting!

the problem on multiple window should be analyzed in depth.
This is not imminent: as was discussed before on the developers' mailing list; to port
gretl to android, we'd need some pieces of software infrastucture that are not
available at the moment. And even so, it would be a serious effort.
However,
- or reducing the number of new windows - output and graph one window
different tabs, logs and script one window (different tabs) etc.
This is something I wouldn't object to. Grouping script output and graphs into one
window as tabs may be a good idea. Maybe, we could even put the console and the log in one
"interaction" window as tabs, but I don't think I'd like this very much.
Ok, the help window would be another extra one, but I guess nobody would want to have that
integrated.
