Hi all, for a package I need to know of what type the loaded data set is (time-series, cross-sectional, panel). Does gretl have a built-in accessor for it? I couldn't find one. Or what's a robust way to determine it?

Uhm, I now realise that there's a discrepancy between the docs and actual behaviour: if no dataset is loaded, $datatype returns NA, instead of 0 as stated in the documentation. I suppose I should adapt the code to the docs, rather than the other way around, right?
