Hi guys,
I hope this email finds you all well. We're living really tough times, unfortunately!
I was looking into the data for corona virus from ECDC (European Agency for Disease
Prevention and Control) and trying to import it correctly into gretl in simple steps.
I'm sure this is easy but I'm not seeing the way to do it. Maybe someone can give
me some help.
Here is the data link:

Or, alternatively, you can go to
https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/publications-data/download-todays-data-geog...
and just download the latest figures.
What's the best way to import this into Gretl?

the source filename!

Just as an update on the script to retrieve covid-19 data from ECDC. This one works:

string fname = "2020-04-02.xlsx"
string URL = site ~ fname
open @URL --quiet
setobs countriesAndTerritories dateRep --panel-vars
</hansl>
In the string fname, you need to change manually for the date you wish in the format
yyyy-mm-dd or eventually use some gretl function to update the date to current day
automatically.
