The classroom installation that I checked already had X-12-ARIMA installed in c:\userdata, and calling the program from gretl (which is in the current default location of c:\Program Files) worked OK. TRAMO was not installed on the machine in question. I downloaded ts_install.exe and ran it, accepting the default of installation in c:\userdata. Then I restarted gretl, and I could access TRAMO alright. I'm not sure, but this may be the issue: After switching the gretl installation to a different location, you may have to seek out the uninstallers for both x12a and Tramo, and uninstall then reinstall those programs. I suspect that some stale Windows registry entries are causing the problem. Allin Cottrell
