It sounds like you need to estimate a system, not a single equation. It also sounds like your question may be more methodological than gretl related. As such, it may be better to talk off list. (gretl developers: PLEASE correct me if I am wrong). I think the problem is that gretl cannot create from nothing future observation of your explanatory variables (no package can). Thus, if you do not yet know them, you need to forecast them as well. Thus you need to estimate a system, a var for example. I would use the var command then in the model output window choose forecast the variable you are interested in. If you have more methodology questions, please feel free to reply to my email.
