If I recall correctly, filling the "From: " header is not the MTA job (though
some MTAs do that), it's the MUA job (i.e. your ordinary e-mail client); in this
case I guess that gretl itself should generate the "From: " header (which, from
the MTA point of view, belongs to the "body" of the message, so it shouldn't
be
touched) according to the mail address given by the user.
