Testing around with the "Tabular option" dialog box, I realized that if I
uncheck the "Standard error" option, the table view works fine.
This was a small problem with fr.po, in the TeX-specific translation
'Std.\\ Error" -> "Erreur std.\\"
In TeX the backslash after '.' prevents it being treated as
end-of-sentence (whoch calls for a larger following space). But the
backslash at the _end_ of the French version caused trouble in the
table context
{Erreur std.\}
by "escaping" the folowing '}' when that's not wanted.
