[Gretl-users] Re: Gretl in format snap or flatpak

Hi Carlos, AFAIK there's no snap or flatpak version, although this has been discussed in the past. Running Debian stable (which v12 currently is, AFAIK) typically gives you older software versions, but I guess you have good reasons for sticking to it. Compiling the latest gretl versions yourself is fairly straightforward on Debian, see Appendix B of the gretl user guide. However, there's a reason for software packaging, and if you're compiling yourself, you're moving beyond the packaging system (apt etc.), of course.
