Thanks to all your responses. My Version is 1.10.0cvs under Windows. I noticed that you even don't have to comment out. Just rerun the script and you get alternating error messages. Then gretl continues to think that the loop hasn't ended yet. However, I'm not sure if this is still happening with recent versions, I think I haven't seen this recently.
