Hi,
by coincidence I've just noticed that the Latex package 'listings' has
support for the hansl language already built in. And the file
lstdrvrs.pdf from somewhere on the web tells me that this is thanks to
Ignacio!
This is great. However, it says there (c) 2013, so I'm wondering whether
this could use some update? For example, the genr aliases 'matrix',
'scalar' etc. do not appear in the list there.
('listings' was just updated last month after several years, however, so
it might take a while to permeate to the public...)
Ignacio, if you read this, do you have any hints on how to get changes
into the listings package?

OK, sorry to populate this thread all by myself, but here is some news.
I'm attaching a small example Latex document with some incorporated
updates. The long lists in the "morekeywords" fields are essentially the
updates to hansl since 2013. Of course, eventually we should get those
right into the listings package.
The document compiles fine for me with pdflatex.
The syntax coloring style right now is pretty arbitrary, see the colors
I chose in the \lstset block.
Ignacio, if you read this, do you have any hints on how to get changes
into the listings package?
This question still applies.

Obsolete former commands: deletekeywords = {kalman, shell, sscanf},
and stuff like funcerr, hfplot, midasreg, plot, etc.

I see the maintainer is a guy by the name of Jobst Hoffmann
(j.hoffmann(a)fh-aachen.de). I'm on a train with shitty Net connection atm,
but perhaps I can email him tomorrow asking for instructions.

More updates attached again: The most important news is that I have
overridden the treatment of the $ sign as a keyword prefix: Because
first the style of the $-accessors (like $uhat etc.) could not be
differentiated from that of gretl commands, and secondly there was no
way to tell the package that a string substitution construct like $i in
a loop was not a keyword. So I put in the full explicit list of
$-accessors as a third keyword group, associated with a different style.
