Sven pointed me to a small bug. When loading/opening a file from the
internet, gretl wrongly states in the GUI "no datafile loaded". This
does NOT happen when opening local files. I use a 4-days old git version
I ran into troubles updating gretl to the latest version in rawhide. It
appears that apparently the new build tools in fedora 28 are more picky
and they throw an error. Please find attached the build.log,
mock_output.log and the root.log. I don't know if that's a real issue on
gretl's part, since rawhide is often a bit broken.
Additionally, I would like to add that some files are not installed
anymore in the same location. Probably not a problem.
Thanks a lot for any help!
Please, consider a possibility
to include in $model something
like "$zlist" for variables in
currently need: I am updating
a_eff to include heckit command;
without this option I need
to form zlist by hand and
add absolutely unnessessary
argument to mfx() and eyex()
Also, it seems, not including
this component of model bundle
is a simply oversight
AFAICS the text search in the built-in script editor is case
insensitive, while hansl is. Could we get a tick box in the search
window switching between one and the other? Or is it more complicated to
change the underlying search engine (from gtk, I suppose)?
Thanks to those who raised issues worthy of attention before a 2017d
release. At this point we've addressed some (but not all) of the
Trade-off: wait longer and fix more (with always the possibility of
breaking some things as we fix others) versus get our accumulated
fixes and enhancements out to the multitudes. As of now I'd say the
balance is in favour of the latter.
So unless anyone comes up with a show-stopping bug, my intent is to
make a new release in the next few days.
