Try two possible simple reasons
before "heavy artillery" steps in
a) Check whether a snapshot was installed
with include to path option (I sometimes forget, sometimes - not)
I'm pretty sure the box was ticked.
b) If you use 3.2.4, change it for 3.2.4.revised
This is still an old R installation, 3.1.2, the same one (I think) that
used to work "before".
BTW, when I put the path names in gretl's settings inside double quotes,
I get error messages instead of a freeze, so that's not the underlying
cause it seems.
