Well, I thought that was an improvement in the error message. But maybe
it isn't. I suppose a really explicit message would have to be something
like
Can't make sense of "garbl[..." since the symbol "garbl" is
undefined.
The current message is definitely better than the previous one. Your new
suggestion (if feasible) would indeed be optimal I guess. I just wasn't
sure if there was an intended change by you triggering this, or if
something else was going on.
