But this is not a built-in function but is supposed to become part of the
extra package for which a couple of function names already exceed 10
characters. Or do you plan to write a built-in equivalent?
Sorry, I lost track of where this function was going.
However, if efficiency is an issue, should it perhaps be a built-in
after all? Just wondering.
