Yes, that had occurred to me.
Unfortunately, the syntax for this is not exactly obvious. One
possibility could be appending a --save option to the xtab
command, but then, what should the name of the saved matrix be?
Alternatively, one may create an mxtab function, to be used as
matrix foo = mxtab(x,y)
I think that the second option is better, and shouldn't be too
difficult.
