Update: I have found that the new build of wgnuplot.exe that works
on XP also works OK on Windows 10. I have therefore substituted this
build for the previous one (that depends on Direct2D) in the gretl
package for 32-bit Windows.
In short, the current 32-bit Windows snapshot, and also the
forthcoming gretl 2017d package (32-bit), should work on XP as well
as current Windows.
In our 64-bit Windows build I have retained a version of
wgnuplot.exe which exploits more recent Windows API.
