An improvement, no question about it. However, this has to be signalled as
a backward incompatibility (because it is, albeit minor).

I like it. Actually, I like it so much that it may be worth considering to
turn the logic around (again, at the cost of backward incompatibility, but
if we have to break it, let's do it once and for all). How about having
the --full option work like in the restrict command after VECM estimation?
That is, (omit|add) with no options would _not_ replace the current model,
but (omit|add) --full would. I'm not pushing this, I'm just saying it's
worth thinking about it IMO; perhaps the discussion on this specific
possibility could be extended to the user list.
